Denver, Kansas City, Los Angeles and Salt Lake City to host CONCACAF Olympic qualifying

The CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying Championship will be held this October, and four U.S. cities will host games.

Denver, Kansas City and Los Angeles will serve as the locations for the group stage before the tournament wraps up with the semifinal matches, third-place game and final at Real Salt Lake’s Rio Tinto Stadium.

Eight qualified countries will be separated into two groups of four for the tournament, with the two finalists earning automatic berths into the 2016 Olympics in Brazil. The third-placed team will earn the right to face Colombia in a play-off for an additional Olympic berth.

The U.S. Under-23 Men’s National Team will headline Group A, while defending champion Mexico has been placed in Group B. The duo will be joined by Canada as well as three nations from Central America and two from the Caribbean that will be decided in August qualifiers.

The draw for the tournament will be conducted in August.

October 4– Group B Matchday 2- StubHub Center, Carson, CA

October 6– Group A Matchday 3- Dick’s Sorting Goods Park, Commerce City, CO

October 7– Group B Matchday 3- Dick’s Sorting Goods Park, Commerce City, CO

October 10 – Semifinals – Rio Tinto Stadium, Sandy, UT

October 13 – 3rd place and Final- Rio Tinto Stadium, Sandy, UT
